This method can be used say, if you don't feel comfortable your parents or housemates seeing your cloth pads in the washing machine. Or maybe your washing machine is broken. This method however over time could reduce the lifespan of the pads.
Take your soiled pad and with the cold tap rinse out as much of the blood out as you can. By squeezing, rubbing the pad together and just running the water over it.
Once you have got as much blood out as possible, ring out the pad slightly so it's not dripping wet, then apply a stain stick of your choice. I really recommend the Emilla stain stick. It works wonders! Also check out their pads if you haven't already. Once you have applied the stain stick, wait 5-10 minutes to allow the stain remover to work. Once you have waited the 5-10 minutes take ab old toothbrush and work in the stain remover and leave again for a couple of minutes. Then wash out all of the soapy stain stick, if you leave this in it will reduce the absorbancy of the pad.
Then wait until dried.
I like to place my pads on a towel on the windowsill in my bedroom. The towel helps to absorb any extra water.
