Why I switched to AMPs!

I switched to AMPs around 10 months ago.
It all started because I was having horrific period pain and i didn't know how to stop it. I had tried everything!
I was on YouTube looking at a period vlog by a youtuber called Girlztalkx, then in my suggestion box, Bree from Precious stars, video was listed, at first I thought, this us disgusting! A few months later I watched a few more videos and thought wait a minute this isn't bad it is so natural and safe. I was switched from the idea of  disposables to AMPs in a matter of seconds. I went to have two periods with pads and tampons thinking who horrible I felt I just couldn't think of a way to confront her with the idea. One night I just came out with it and said " did you know that you can get pads for your period that you wash!" my mum hated the idea and even now she still does but in the end she said that it's my body and that if that is what I wanted to try then she was willing to let me do it.

Just a short one!

whats with the FDA approval?!?

I have just been flicking through instagram to find out that Terra from Period attire is no longer making pads! Terra is a highly talented sewer and i love her pads! Bree from Precious stars will no longer be selling to the us, all due to the FDA regulations! I saw on Facebook or Twitter someone said that whoever said that cloth pads were a medical device was a man, I just found that really funny! Why don't tampons have to go through the same safety checks as some absorbent fabrics! I don't understand why the price is so high to be able to sell to the us and other countries! What needs to be checked on them, it is basically made the same way as your cloths bust absorbent. It's not a medical device to put a towel between your legs while you are on your period! Are disposable pads FDA approved, no, so why handmade pads which the makers know exactly what's inside them!

Anyway rant over! Sorry for not making a post in a while I have been having a few family issues.
Thanks for reading .
Have a great day.

period attire pad review

the young woman who runs period attire pads is called Terra, she is a lovely young woman, a Christian  which is always a plus! i had a few questions so i contacted her through her etsy shop, and her customer service is great! she is such a sweet young woman!
she, as i said sells of etsy
PeriodAttirePads     - her pads
i bought :
super (marked with a purple ribbon) overnight 12 inch pad
6 inch budget liner (no ribbon)
7 inch light pad (marked with a fuchsia ribbon)

i LOVE the over night pad is is super absorbent and it has never stained even after leaking through!
it is backed in micro fleece, it snaps up to 2.75 inches which is a great width for overnight.
the budget liners have no core which is great as it is just in place to protect your underwear  however this isnt great for cup backup as it wont absorb anything. it is super thin and works great!
the light pad was good, i really like the thinness of it also.

Terra also has a youtube channel that she runs with her friend Bryn, be sure to check them out.

pink lemonade review

Pink lemonade sell from etsyhttps://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/pinklemonadeshop?ref=s2-header-shopname click here for her fantastic pads!
The pad that  I bought was pink 10" minky topped.
I love this Pad! It is super absorbent and you can't feel any moisture  on it!  I wore this pad twice during my cycle, my only problem with this pad us that the minky doesn't seem as soft as before it was washed, I know that they don't stay the same softness but however it felt less soft than other minky pads I have used before.
Other than that small thing this pad was fantastic!
The stitching was impeccable, not a single fault!
It is super comfy also!
Here is the pad that I got
Absolutely perfect!

Emilla cloth pad review

I can safely say that Emilla pads are one of my FAVOURITE pad brands!
As far as i know all their pads are cotton topped, the cotton is the best quality cotton i have in my cloth pad stash. I'm not usually a fan of wrapped wing style pads, but these really work for me. i usually tend to experience bunching with wing styles, and i didn't experience this with these pads. They are super absorbent, they are backed in a patented fabric, this is a waterproofing layer, literately nothing can get through this layer, it is a fantastic pad for a heavy flow! The snaps are metal and super quiet in the bathroom, but still strong enough not to come undone, the snaps are nickel free.
They have no centre stitching which isn't a problem because these pads pull all of the moisture away from you even without the wicking stitch but it felt like it did. I didn't feel any moisture even after the gushes!
The prices are fantastic! Even shipping to the UK isn't that much. I'm unsure of the shipping price for other countries bit the UK isn't much at all!
She sends you a personal note and a chocolate in every parcel! It's lovely to receive a note personally to you. It's lovely to see that she has taken the time to write that to you!
They are just amazing pads you should check them out!
